Lumi Yoga and South Etobicoke Therapy are excited to present Let Go & Flow, a Yoga and Wellness Retreat at Black Oak Lodge in South Frontenac, taking place October 17-19, 2025.

Join Janet Song (Registered Yoga Teacher) and Carly Bowie (Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist) for a weekend of healing, connection, and rest at a luxury lakeside cottage surrounded by acres of private forest.

Whether you’re experiencing stress, burnout, or grief, or simply want a weekend away, Let Go & Flow provides a safe space for you to calm your nervous system and process your emotions with the support and expertise of a licensed mental health professional and a certified yoga teacher.

Programming includes guided yoga, mindfulness and somatic movement sessions, forest bathing, sound baths, and more. In your free time, enjoy a session in the wood-fired barrel sauna, wander the 50-acres of private forest, and take in the stunning views of Canoe Lake.

Your Hosts

Retreat facilitators are there to guide the programming, hold space, and support you throughout the experience. We’re excited to announce that Let Go & Flow is hosted by both a licensed mental health professional and a certified yoga instructor to provide a holistic, evidence-based experience that is supportive on a physical, emotional and spiritual level, and to foster an environment that is safe, engaging and fun!


  • Janet Song is a Registered Yoga Teacher and the Founder of Lumi Yoga, a Wellness Event Planning Business. She is also happens to be a lawyer!

    Janet has practiced yoga for over 15 years and began her teaching journey in 2013 at Hot Yoga Wellness International in Toronto. She specializes in Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Restorative. Janet currently offers private yoga sessions and teaches weekly classes at several yoga studios.

    Janet’s journey to yoga is deeply personal. As a practicing lawyer, yoga was instrumental in helping her manage stress and work through her own challenges with mental health and burnout. Janet is passionate about the transformational power of yoga and mindfulness as a complement to other health and wellness modalities.

    Janet’s approach to retreat facilitation is to hold space with safety, compassion and love, and to help participants tap into the healing potential within them through mindful movement, body awareness, and connecting with nature.


  • Carly is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with a decade of experience working with individuals, families, and communities with the goal of increasing social and mental well-being. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto. She is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), and a Member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).

    ​Carly has worked in a variety of settings that have contributed to her knowledge in supporting those she works with. Settings including primary health care, charity and non-profits organizations, inpatient care for addictions and mental health in addition to 2-years in her private therapy practice.

    Carly’s role as a retreat facilitator is to hold space for participants that is open, non-judgemental, trauma-informed and holistic. By creating this space, she believes real healing can happen where life experiences and trauma can be processed.

Situated on top of a 100-foot tall granite escarpment, Black Oak Lodge is a modern waterfront property located in beautiful South Frontenac. Relax in complete privacy on 50-acres surrounded by nature, and thousands of feet of private shore line on the deep, clean waters of Canoe Lake.

  • Let Go & Flow is open to individuals of all gender identities.

  • The Let Go & Flow Retreat will take place from October 17–19, 2025. We’ll be gathering at Black Oak Lodge, a stunning lakeside location in South Frontenac.

  • The retreat will be held at Black Oak Lodge in South Frontenac, Ontario, a luxury lakeside cottage set in 50 acres of private forest. This peaceful setting provides the perfect backdrop for relaxation, rejuvenation, and healing.

  • We will send out detailed directions to all participants closer to the retreat date. If you don’t have a car, please let us know and we can help coordinate carpooling with other attendees. Those coming from out of town may consider taking the train or bus to Kingston, Ontario and then join a carpool or order an Uber for the short drive to Black Oak Lodge.

  • Throughout the weekend, you’ll enjoy a variety of activities including:

    1. Guided Yoga: Morning and evening sessions to help you release tension and restore balance.

    2. Mindfulness Practices: Techniques to bring you into the present moment and help process emotions.

    3. Forest Bathing: Immersing in nature for stress reduction and deep relaxation.

    4. Sound Baths: Soothing sounds to promote healing and relaxation.

    5. Free time: Relax in the wood-fired barrel sauna, explore the forest trails, or enjoy the stunning views of Canoe Lake.

  • Yes! We’ve designed the retreat to offer a balance of scheduled activities and free time. You can use your free time to relax, explore the surrounding nature, enjoy the sauna, or simply unwind.

  • No — Let Go & Flow is a sober retreat.

  • To start the booking process, please visit South Etobicoke Therapy’s booking platform and make a booking request. You should be automatically directed to the retreat appointment beginning on October 17, 2025.

    After you make the booking request, we will send a follow up email to discuss room selection, deposits, payment plans, etc.

    To secure your spot, you will be required to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit. You can pay by credit card through the booking platform, or by Interac E-transfer sent to admin@southetobicoketherapy.ca. The remaining balance will be due closer to the due date.

  • To ensure the retreat is able to proceed, the $500 deposit is non-refundable.

  • We understand that life can be unpredictable. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

    1. Full refund if you cancel more than 60 days before the retreat.

    2. 50% refund if you cancel 30–60 days before the retreat.

    3. No refund within 30 days of the retreat, though we may be able to transfer your spot to someone else.

  • Your retreat package includes:

    1. Accommodation for the weekend.

    2. All meals (vegetarian, with consideration for dietary restrictions).

    3. Yoga and wellness practices led by certified professionals.

    4. Access to the wood-fired sauna, forest trails, and other amenities.

  • We offer a variety of room options, from shared rooms to private accommodations. Options include:

    • 4-person shared room (two single beds, two double beds)

    • 2-person shared room (one king bed)

    • 1-person private room (one king bed)

  • Room selection is first come, first serve. After you send your deposit, we will email you to ask about your room preference. Send your deposit early to ensure that you get the room you want.

    Please note that the retreat organizers reserve the right to change room selections at their sole discretion based on the needs and dynamics of retreat attendees.

  • Yes, all meals provided at the retreat will be vegetarian. We can accommodate various dietary restrictions (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, etc.). Please let us know your dietary preferences or restrictions when you register, and we will do our best to cater to your needs.

  • Yes, absolutely! Many of our guests come solo, and you’ll be joining a supportive and like-minded group. Our retreat fosters a sense of community, and you'll have the chance to connect with others throughout the weekend.

  • No prior experience is necessary! Our sessions are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Janet will guide you through all yoga and mindfulness practices, and Carly will be there to offer emotional support and somatic exercises as needed.

  • We’ll send you a detailed packing list closer to the retreat date, but here are some essentials:

    1. Comfortable yoga clothes and warm layers.

    2. Yoga mat and any props that you like to use during practice.

    3. Outdoor gear for exploring the forest (good shoes, jacket, etc.).

    4. A journal for reflection.

    5. Personal items such as toiletries, medications, etc.
